Real Doll 2018
"Both the lead actors were also fantastic to work with creatively. They were never afraid to bring their own ideas to the table. Some of the scenes would often change the more we ran through them, which I loved as it felt we were completely understanding of the characters thoughts and didn't need to rely solely on written dialogue to bring their layered personalities to life."

Treasure Island 2019
“I joined a very young audience for Stevenson's rollicking adventure. And it definitely rollicked! I watched youngsters aged between four and seven sitting transfixed as this company revealed a story of pirates, parrots and hidden treasure. It was a production on a limited budget but a cast of young professionals doubling-up, gender bending, swopping beards for hats, created an effective illusion of Caribbean treachery. As I watched I remembered my own playground 'adventures' where imagination replaced props androle playing was always convincing. The young audience around me were clearly involved and alert.”

Edward III 2016
"Never mind getting upstaged by fancy swordplay or an actor taking too long for his death scene. Hudson Shakespeare Company’s adaptable actors must endure teens on skateboards, barking dogs, ambulance sirens, even low-flying helicopters while they project the dense and rhyming lines of The Bard".
